Type your query in the search box. Keywords work best so try to avoid long queries if possible.
Click the Search button to begin; results will appear below the search box and clustered on the left hand side of the results page ready for you to browse.
Vivisimo Search will find the right page you are looking for, most of the time, with just a basic query; however the following tips can help you refine your technique to make the most of your searches.
Browsing the results clusters
Your search results will be clustered by topic on the left hand side of the search results page. Clicking the plus symbol will expand a cluster, displaying the sub-clusters that it contains. The number displayed next to a cluster is the number of unique search results that a cluster contains. Get back to your original query by clicking on the ‘Back’ link.
Browsing the Related queries
The Related query box, at the bottom of your search results, recommends related content based on your original query; for example, a search for 'Dementia' will suggest related topics 'Care Services', 'CT Scan' and 'Depression'. The related topics are divided into 5 main groups - Medical Conditions, Medical Treatments, Medical Tests, Healthy life, Products and Services. Clicking on one of these links will generate a new set of results.
