Make a Travel Insurance Claim
Of course, we hope you never have to make a claim. But if you do, we make it as easy and stress-free as possible. Basically, claims split into two types: emergencies and others.
In an emergency, you can call on our help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our dedicated multi-lingual emergency centre gives you access to fully qualified medical experts when you need them, so we can start to help you as soon as you call.
We'll need your name, policy number and as much information about your emergency as you can give us, after which we can authorise admission to hospital if necessary (unfortunately, we can't accept responsibility for any expenses incurred until you contact us).
Please note that private treatment is not covered unless first authorised by the emergency helpline team.
If the amount of the claim will be less than £500, this should be paid by you and simply claimed back from us within 28 days of returning from your trip.

Once you've downloaded the form you'll need to complete it with all your information, please leave the first section blank and start from the box headed 'Very important'. We'll fill the first section in for you once we've registered your claim.
Send the form to us with all your original invoices, receipts and reports, confirmation of the dates of your trip (such as flight tickets, an itinerary, etc). Depending on what you're claiming for, there may be other documents we'll need (such as a police report). Remember, the more supporting evidence you can send us, the quicker we can process your claim.
We'd always advise checking for any specific conditions or exclusions before you claim, and make sure you take copies of any documents you send to us.
Sometimes, to settle your claim quickly and fairly, we'll appoint a claims handling agent. If we do, they'll get in touch as soon as possible to discuss your claim with you.
