24-hour emergency helplineHide
You want to know there's someone you can talk to anytime, if you encounter a medical emergency abroad. And with Bupa Travel Insurance, there is. Our Bupa Travel Assistance helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, giving you access to highly trained personnel at all times.
Pre-travel adviceHide
Take out Bupa Travel Insurance and you can call us round the clock for travel advice. Whether you want to find information about visa/entry requirements, vaccinations, local events, weather or travel during your trip or before you go, we can help.
Multi-lingual co-ordinatorsHide
With Bupa Travel Insurance, you'll have full access to multi-lingual co-ordinators and medical personnel to make sure you get the right care.
Sourcing replacement prescription medication or glassesHide
Should you lose your prescription medication or glasses on holiday, Bupa Travel Assistance will liaise with your UK Optician or UK GP in order to obtain a copy of your prescription. This will enable you to purchase replacements** whilst away and continue to focus on enjoying your holiday.
Repatriation to your country of residenceHide
If you need to be brought back to your country of residence urgently, we'll organise a commercial flight home, with a medical escort if necessary. Or, if you are critically ill, specially-equipped air ambulances can be arranged.
Replacement medication and glassesHide
Should you need essential drugs (or other medication) that have been lost or aren't available abroad, we'll help you to arrange replacements as quickly as possible.
Bupa Health Screen+Hide
At Bupa Travel Insurance, we want to be sure you're in the best of health. So if you've spent five or more days in hospital abroad as an inpatient, we'll give you a voucher for a Bupa Essential Health Screen in the UK.
Kennel and cattery feesHide
When you choose Bupa Travel Insurance, you can relax knowing that could look after your pets too. If your return home is delayed by more than 24 hours, we may cover any additional kennel or cattery fees, giving you one less thing to worry about.
Winter sports coverHide

We include winter sports on all annual policies. So as long as you go recreational skiing and snowboarding in recognised resort areas that have marked pistes or runs designed for public use, you're covered up to the following limits:

  • unused ski or snowboard pack - up to £150
  • ski equipment hire - £15 a day up to £300
  • loss of ski equipment - up to £500
  • piste closure - £20 a day up to £200
  • avalanche closure - £30 a day up to £150

Bupa Travel Insurance Extended Cover Options

Optional personal business cover¹Hide

If you're abroad on business, you might need a little extra cover. For example loss or damage to business machines (including laptops), or sending a business colleague to take over from you if you end up in hospital. The cover limits are:

  • business machines and equipment - up to £2,000
  • travel costs of a replacement business colleague - up to £1,500

If you want cover when travelling abroad on business then simply choose the Business cover option when you purchase a policy online.

Optional golf coverHide

If your holiday includes playing golf, you'll need extra cover for any equipment (clubs, bag, shoes etc), hire of replacements and loss of green fees. So this option gives you:

  • golf equipment - up to £1,500
  • loss of pre-paid, non-refundable green fees - up to £250
  • hire of golf equipment - £35 a day up to £250
Optional wedding coverHide

Getting married abroad should be memorable for all the right reasons. So for extra peace of mind we can make sure you're covered against loss of wedding rings, gifts, photographs and more. The cover limits are:

  • wedding rings - up to £250 for each ring
  • wedding gifts - up to £1,000
  • wedding photographs - up to £750
  • wedding outfits - up to £1,500

Cover for pre-existing medical conditions
