Gallbladder issues and solutions

There are many reasons why you may need your gallbladder removed, including pain or jaundice caused by gallstones, infections of the gallbladder, inflammation of the pancreas, or if gallstones are blocking the bile duct. Bupa keyhole surgery lasts between 30 and 90 minutes, followed by one or two weeks of recovery.

To help put your mind at rest, all our gallbladder removal patients receive an aftercare package service. This includes a follow-up appointment with a consultant, as well as readmission into hospital within 30 days of the initial procedure, should it be medically required.

In the unlikely event of any complications arising from your procedure, the cost of additional treatment required may also be covered subject to the terms and conditions of the package that you choose.
