With Bupa cancer cover there are no time limits and all your eligible treatment costs are paid in full for as long as you have Bupa health insurance. Employees must use a healthcare facility from your chosen Bupa network and a Bupa-recognised consultant who agrees to charge within our limits (a fee-assured consultant).

This covers you for mental health treatment as a day-patient or in-patient and as an out-patient. Out-patient is based on your chosen level of cover and day-patient/in-patient is paid in full for up to 45 days. Mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety or depression can be difficult to discuss, but our confidential service can help guide you towards a solution. Personal care co-ordinators in our mental health team are available to members with complex care needs.

-The hospital network you choose is a list of the hospitals across the UK which you'll be able to use.
-Each hospital network has a different number of hospitals within it. You may be able to reduce your subscription by selecting a network with fewer hospitals or clinics.
-Some networks do not have hospitals in some areas - please check the hospital availability in your area.
-The hospital network lists can change from time to time.
-Changing the hospital network will affect the price of your cover.

An excess, if selected, is payable once per person, per benefit year on your first eligible claims up to your excess limit, regardless of how many claims you make in that year. If your claim spans over your renewal date, you would need to pay the excess again which means that you may pay the excess twice in quick succession. Example: If you have an out-patient limit of £1000 and an excess of £100 and you submitted an outpatient claim for £150, Bupa will pay £50 towards the cost of the claim and the member will be liable for the excess payment of £100. This will then mean that your outpatient benefit remaining would be £850.

Having an excess means that you have to pay part of any eligible treatment costs that would otherwise be paid by us, up to your excess limit. Choosing a higher excess will help to reduce your monthly subscription.
