Brynhyfryd has an enviable location. It is set among beautiful grounds overlooking a river in the historic market town of Builth Wells. Surrounded by the peaceful Powys countryside, our home offers tranquillity and comfort for our residents. There are 30 bedrooms and the purpose-built facilities have been designed specifically to offer a high level of residential care.
Each resident has their own care plan that's created just for them, so we're able to give them exactly the right level of care that's perfect for their needs. Their care is carried out by qualified nurses and care assistants and each resident’s care plan is regularly reviewed.

You can make an appointment by calling us and booking in a visit with our home manager. We have an open door policy, so you’re welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we advise you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
