Our home is split into two areas, one for nursing care and one for residential. Residents in both receive warm, personalised attention from a team that focuses on the person first and their condition second.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Two large lounges give residents plenty of space to pursue activities of their choosing. Residents can also enjoy coffee with friends and family or simply finding space to unwind on your own, we have space.
Walk around and take in the sights of our leafy gardens
Set in charming, leafy grounds, residents can take all the time they need to explore our greenery.
Pamper yourself inside our onsite salon
Our hairdresser will see to all your hairdressing and beautician needs right here at our home.
Bask in good summer weather in our gardens
Overlooking our large flourishing gardens is our paved area that is perfect for enjoying warmer days.
There’s no typical day at Elm Grove, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

We try and offer a range of musical performers for our residents to enjoy with weekly to monthly regularity.
Regular gentle exercises
We think it’s important for our residents to keep active, so we encourage them to participate in exercise whenever possible.
Get involved with cooking and gardening
Our residents like to spend time cooking and gardening with the support of our staff if they so wish.

"The day after my sister-in-law moved into Elm Grove we visited to make sure that she was comfortable and happy, we were met by staff who introduced themselves by first names which put us at ease and made us feel as if we were meeting up with old friends. The care that my sister-in-law receives is first class although she doesn't always appreciate it given the kind of dementia that she has, her room overlooks the garden and she watches the changes to the chestnut tree, she does not mix well but the staff are trying to get her to be more sociable. The food is excellent and varied and all staff kind and caring, we could not have wished for a better home for my sister-in-law to be in. Thank you"

"We cannot tell you how well looked after our dear Mum, Mother-in-law and Nanny is! She is always happy and has lots of lovely things to do and people to see. She is in better health than she was living at home - she eats and drinks so much more, we are so pleased. It was a really hard decision to let her live at Chestnut Lodge - but a year on we absolutely know that it was the right thing. Thank you to all of the amazing staff that care for her daily."

"My mother and father started their stay at Elm Grove Care home in April 2022. My father has dementia and my mother was frail, due to a fall in early 2020 where she broke her hip. The care they have both received has been excellent. Unfortunately, my mother died in September 2022 and the staff were fantastic in caring for her right up to the end. My father continues to be cared for and supported by staff here and I feel he is in a safe and caring environment."
