Life at Himley Mill Care Home

We want all our residents to lead as full and active a life as possible and we have devised a rich and varied activity programme to ensure they have something fun to look forward to every day.

Our activities

There's plenty for everyone to enjoy at Himley Mill. Residents are encouraged to pursue their own interests or perhaps try something new with one of our group activities. Arts and crafts, baking sessions and board games have proven very popular, as has the film club. For avid readers, the mobile library calls regularly and we often venture out to Himley Country Park and the local shopping centre.

Local musicians and singers often pop in to perform, much to our residents' delight. The Animal Magic and keep fit sessions have also become very popular. Friends and family are welcome along at any time to join in the fun.

How do I arrange a visit?

We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first. Download our guide to choosing a care home

Can I bring my own furniture?

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

How soon can I move in?

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
