Blueapple Dental Care
GDC - 176530 FDS RCPSG 2012 BDS Queen’s University of Belfast 2009 Dentist
After graduating from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009, Michael was one of four people selected to do a two-year general professional training programme. This led him to start a career in hospital dentistry, where he worked in various departments, including oral surgery and restorative dentistry. He joined Blueapple Dental Care in July 2018.
Michael has won two awards in the last year, including ‘Best Young Dentist of the Year’ at the UK Dentistry Awards in 2019 and the ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Irish Dentistry Awards in 2020. Both awards celebrate dentists with significant achievements in their career to date, as well as drive and passion.
At Blueapple, Michael works as a restorative dentist – with a keen interest in dental implants. He helps his patients achieve the smile they want using restorative treatments including dental implants and veneers.
Michael also has an active interest in dental photography and uses it daily to educate his patients, communicate with laboratories, and promote the high standard of his work. Michael finds that this helps his patients get a clear understanding of their treatment journey, and how it’s benefiting their oral health.
Ultimately, his goal is to engage patients in a different way to excite and motivate them to take responsibility for their dental health.
