In 1998, Angela gained her BDS from Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. After she qualified, she gained experience in a London-based practice within general dentistry. She then joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within Ipswich Hospital, prior to working as a staff-grade Oral Surgeon at Guys Hospital London, where she had involvement in teaching undergraduate dental students. It was at this time she successfully achieved her MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. After completing her MFDS, Angela began the four-year specialist training programme within Periodontology at Guys Hospital. This comprised of all aspects of surgical and non-surgical treatment for periodontal diseases, in addition to implantology and scientific research. She completed the course achieving an MSc distinction in Clinical Dentistry, from the University of London as well as a membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons England. Angela also has a place on the General Dental Council’s specialists register for Periodontology. Angela joined Colchester Dental Specialist Centre in 2009 and accepts referrals from general dental practices in East Anglia for all aspects of Periodontology. Angela provides both surgical and non-surgical treatments for periodontal diseases, including periodontal regeneration, mucogingival soft tissue management, implants and crown lengthening. In addition to her work at our practice, she continues to teach the undergraduate students in the Department of Periodontology at Guys Hospital.
