Peter Bujtar

Peter has worked and studied in Budapest, Finland and Norway, and holds several degrees including a PhD.

Peter attended the University of Semmelweis in Budapest. He graduated from the medical faculty in 2006 and from the dental faculty in 2009, so he’s both a doctor and a dentist. While at the medical school, he also achieved a master’s in Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Peter has a strong portfolio in research and innovation. As a result of his research in the field of the biomechanics of the interaction between bone and hardware, bone surgery and cone-beam CT scanning, he gained his PhD in Oulu, Finland in 2015.

In 2014, Peter finished over 40,000 hours of postgraduate oral and maxillofacial surgical training, in both private and hospital settings, to become a certified specialist. He has gained extensive training in oral and implant surgery and undertaken fellowships in adult, paediatric cranio and dentofacial surgery, and craniofacial, orbital, trauma, head and neck and oncological surgery, with a particular emphasis on reconstruction. This training was done at renowned institutes such as the Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, Great Ormond Street in London, the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, and Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet.

Peter is a member of the British Oral and Maxillofacial and European Cranio-Maxillofacial societies. He has always dedicated himself to teaching and research in order to share his skills and to improve patient-centred outcomes.

He spends the majority of his time working as an implant specialist and private oral surgeon, but also spends some time as a maxillofacial consultant.
