Sandy has a special interest in dental implants and in 2016, she formalised her expertise by qualifying as an implantologist with a diploma in implant dentistry from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England.

After graduating from Glasgow Dental School, Sandy completed vocational training in an NHS practice in Rochdale where she received the vocational training prize for the North West of England in 2003. She then took up a position as senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital and gained membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005.

Sandy moved on to study a three-year part-time postgraduate diploma in dental practice studies including fixed and removable prosthodontics and oral surgery on the University of Bristol Postgraduate Dental Programme in 2010, prior to completing her implant diploma in 2014 and qualifying in 2016.

Sandy has a keen interest in empowering the next generation of dentists and spent four years from 2010 as an undergraduate clinical teaching fellow in restorative dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital and School.

Sandy is a current member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England Faculty of Dental Surgeons and Joint member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK). She’s also a member of the British Dental Association, the Association of Dental Implantology and the ITI International Team for Implantology.

In addition to her practise within the field of dental implants, Sandy provides restorative treatments, specifically the provision of aesthetic composite restorations, crowns and veneers, bioclear (space closure), oral surgery, and endodontic (root) treatment.
