After graduating from Bristol and then spending a year in practice in the Lake District, Joanna came to Devon for a year’s oral surgery training at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.
After achieving diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons and Bristol University in the field of general practice, she was a founding partner in an innovative out-of-town, all-female private practice in Exeter.
10 years later, she left practice ownership to continue further postgraduate studies at Bristol, achieving a distinction in her diploma in dental implants in 2016. In 2018 she was awarded a master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Plymouth.
She is a member of the International Team of Implantology and the Association of Dental Implantology, the Devon Independent Practitioners’ Group, the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry, and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry.
Joanna also teaches undergraduates at the Peninsula Dental School.
