GDC - 239025 BDS University of Bristol 2012 Dental Surgeon
Junaid Malik graduated from the University of Bristol and has been committed to postgraduate education and further study, having completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His interests have always been in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, which has led him to complete many courses around the subjects, including a year-long course in restorative dentistry and endodontics (root canal treatment).
Junaid continued his learning in North America, where he completed further training in restorative dentistry at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In 2015, he decided to formalise his training in the form of a full-time master’s degree (MSc) in Conservative Dentistry at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), where he was awarded the degree with distinction. In September 2016, he was also awarded the postgraduate Clinical and Academic Excellence Prize and was also nominated for the Dean's List and the Dean’s Research Project Prize for his contribution to dental research. His research was later published in an international journal.
Following on from his master’s degree, Junaid travelled all over the world to learn from internationally renowned clinicians, so he could provide excellent outcomes for his patients.
His advanced training allows him to take referrals for complex crown and bridge procedures (fixed prosthodontics), full-mouth reconstructions, smile makeovers involving crowns and veneers and implant prosthodontics (implant crowns and bridges).
Junaid’s calm and reassuring demeanour puts nervous patients at ease. His patients have commended his communication skills, as he makes sure that everything is explained clearly to his patients, in order to improve the patient journey.
His goal is to provide high quality, long lasting and aesthetic results, whilst keeping his dental work as conservative as possible in order to preserve his patients’ natural teeth.
