Kai is a valued member of our hygienist team and has over 30 years’ experience successfully treating and guiding her patients with periodontal diseases (gum disease) back to health.
She is a passionate motivator and excellent coach for her patients. She has worked in dentistry since the age of 16, undertaking many different roles within practices. She first trained as dental nurse, then a health educator, a nurse lead and practice manager and now as dental hygienist.
She qualified from Birmingham University Dental Hospital in 1986 with three prizes, one of which was the ‘Most Promising Hygienist’ award. She then moved to work in a MOD (Ministry of Defence) Hospital in the Middle East for three years working with well-respected periodontist, Robin Davies amongst other specialists.
She returned to the UK in 1990, where she has worked as a hygienist in both NHS and in private practices. She joined Philip Greene and Maggie’s team at Malt House in 1991.
A busy lady, she has served on committees for many years helping the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) North West Group and National Society, volunteering to promote the profession and educate the public around oral hygiene. She has also helped to organise BDSHT and joint British Society of Periodontology (BSP/BSDHT) educational meetings.
