Why do people get dementia?


We can’t always explain why people get dementia, but there are certain factors that can make it more likely. Unfortunately, some of these known dementia risks factors are unavoidable. In particular, the older we become, the more likely we are to have most types of dementia. Age is the biggest risk factor for dementia.
