Ryan King

Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach, English Institute of Sport

Ryan King (MScD, ASCC, CSCS) is a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach and has worked in high performance sport for over 13 years. He has been on the board of directors and a tutor assessor for the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSA) since 2010.

Ryan started out as Sports Science Lecturer before moving to the Scottish Institute of Sport in 2004. He is currently the Strength and Conditioning Head of Department for the English Institute of Sport (Manchester) and technically leads strength and conditioning coaches working in British Cycling, GB Taekwondo, England Squash and England Netball, having previously worked with Olympic Swimmers, GB and Scottish Curling, the Scottish Rugby Union and Triathlon Scotland, to name but a few.

Ryan is an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with the UKSCA (2005), National Strength and Conditioning Association (2004) and is also British Weightlifting certified. Additionally, Ryan has an MSc in Performance Coaching, which he completed with distinction.
