Arthroscopy treatment

Arthroscopy is used to investigate and diagnose joint problems or to repair damaged tissue or cartilage. Arthroscopy is commonly used to treat knee and shoulder problems and can be preferable to open surgery due to a faster recovery time.

Arthroscopy procedures with Bupa

A knee arthroscopy can take from 30 minutes to over an hour, depending on the work your surgeon needs to do inside your knee joint, whereas a shoulder arthroscopy generally takes less than an hour.

All our arthroscopy patients will receive an aftercare package service. This includes a follow-up appointment with a consultant and physiotherapy if necessary as well as readmission into hospital within 30 days of the procedure, should it be needed.

In the unlikely event of any complications arising from your procedure, the cost of additional treatment required may also be covered subject to the terms and conditions of the package that you choose.

We have a number of arthroscopy treatments available, including procedures to diagnose and repair knees, shoulders, rotator cuffs, elbows, wrists and ankles.

We offer a range of arthroscopy procedures for different conditions.
