Muscle, bone and joint conditions

We offer a range of services for muscle, bone and joint conditions to help you get back to health.

Some treatments may affect your out-patient benefit limit, excess or future subscriptions.

Benefits

Our services for people with muscle, bone and joint conditions are available through our trained specialist support teams and treatment pathways and can help you choose treatment to suit your needs. We provide:

  • fast access to expert advice from a physiotherapist, usually without needing a GP referral
  • access to specialists, such as musculoskeletal advisers and physicians and physiotherapists (our research shows that introducing the option of seeing a musculoskeletal physician has led to a 40% reduction in surgery)1
  • advice to help you manage your condition yourself
  • support through every step of your treatment

Direct access telephone services are available as long as the symptoms are covered under the policy. Pre-existing and chronic conditions are normally excluded. Direct access services may not be available for some underwriting methods. Please call us to allow us to check your eligibility for the direct access service.
