In April 2018 when we launched the most extensive mental health cover in the market for business customers, our standard policies covered more mental health than any UK insurer. We’re now pleased to announce our cover is going even further to support employees and their families with mental health conditions.
From 1 January 2020, at renewal we’ll cover* mental health conditions related to learning, behavioural and developmental conditions for employees and dependants covered on their employers’ health insurance schemes. This applies to new and renewing schemes from the date of their new or renewal policy if mental health cover is included.
This is the latest initiative which we’ve introduced to support people with mental health conditions. We’re the only UK health insurer** to offer support for a mental health condition, such as anxiety or depression, when it's directly related to an LBD condition such as ADHD or autism.
Please note that this change is specifically in relation to the mental health associated to these conditions and we still won't offer treatment for the LBD condition itself.

*Policy terms still apply
