Bupa UK's response to Daily Mail article

24 October 2016

Joan Elliott, Acting General Manager, Bupa UK Care Services said:

“The Daily Mail today reported allegations about some of our care homes in England.

“In four of the five individual cases which The Mail reported, allegations were not upheld by the independent investigating authorities. We took action and fully apologised in the fifth case which occurred in 2010.

“We are absolutely committed to providing all our residents with high quality care and any allegations are immediately investigated, with swift action taken where there are failings.

“We have strict standards in all our homes and this year, we are investing £45m into improving and updating our care homes in the UK.”
