On Sunday 11 October I’ll be running London’s Royal Parks half marathon. This is not the first time I’ve run a half marathon, but it will be the most special one, that’s for sure. The reason: I’m running for Age UK.

Earlier this week, we announced that Age UK will be Bupa’s new strategic charity partner in the UK. We are very excited because we believe that together, we can help improve the lives of older people.

Through our partnership we want to engage our people, customers and wider society to feel positive about ageing. Our aim is to raise £1 million over the next two years to support thousands of older people across the country, to help them to live well, age well and to love later life.

With life expectancy increasing, we feel passionately that everyone should be able to live longer, healthier, happier lives.

I’m personally committed to this challenge, and to empowering people to love later life.
