How do our private GP appointments work?
Book an appointment
You can book appointments online or by calling 0343 523 9054^.
We offer appointments for up to an hour long, either face-to-face in a health centre, or remotely over a telephone or video call.
See a private GP
You’ll be able to discuss any of your symptoms in a safe environment with your GP. To help with your diagnosis, we can also offer basic tests.
Your next steps
After an initial diagnosis, the GP will discuss any next steps with you. Any further tests, diagnostics and prescriptions† will bring additional charges.

Diagnosing Irritable Bowel Syndrome
About 2 in 10 people in the UK have IBS. If you think you’re one of them, our private GP services can help diagnose you.
One of our GPs will talk to you about your symptoms and examine you, asking you questions about your medical history. They’ll ask you about your pain, when you notice it, and what makes it better or worse. They’ll also ask you about your bowel movements.

Health assessment
If you’d like a more comprehensive picture of your health and any potential health risks our health assessments are a good option. You’ll get time with one of our health advisers who’ll help you with practical ways to become healthier and fitter.
Depending on the product you choose, you may also get up to an hour with a Bupa GP to discuss any health concerns that you have.
Colon health check
We also offer specialised assessments for specific health concerns. Our colon health check inicludes an advanced scan of your bowel, designed to check for polyps and other signs of bowel cancer.
