Bupa Dental Care Accrington

Jeremy Thompson

GDC - 68494 BDS Lond 1992 Dentist

After working as an oral surgeon in a hospital, Jeremy went into general practice. He came to Accrington in 2008.

Jeremy qualified in 1992 from the Institute of Dentistry at the Royal London Dental Hospital. After graduating, he stayed on for six months as a resident oral surgeon. He met his wife there, and they moved to her native Lancashire in 1993. Jeremy then worked in general practice in Burnley and Blackburn before coming to Accrington in 2008.

He has a special interest in endodontic treatment (root canal therapies) and is a member of the British Endodontic Society. He achieved a postgraduate diploma in endodontics in 2016, and continues to pursue postgraduate study in a range of dentistry subjects.

Since late 2012, Jeremy has used a dental operating microscope, which allows for very high levels of precision and accuracy in both the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems. This equipment allows us to show patients exactly what we’re seeing in their mouths, in HD clarity, which means they can better understand what’s going on and what needs doing.
