Subsequently she combined work in general practice and the Community Dental Services in London with completing her master’s in Primary Dental Care at the University of Kent. This was focused on education, training and Periodontology. During this time, she also taught undergraduate dental students at King’s College London and gained a diverse range of experience in oral surgery, sedation, periodontics, special care and restorative dentistry.

Currently Tasnim is a specialist registrar on the postgraduate training programme in periodontology at Guy’s Hospital. She also works there as an undergraduate clinical teacher in periodontology. Tasnim has published papers on periodontal risk factors and is currently involved in dental research into advanced techniques for the management of periodontitis.
