A UK-trained-and-accredited consultant oral and maxillo-facial surgeon, Muzzammil has a strong interest in oral cancer and the reconstruction of the neck and face/head.

He passed his oral and maxillo-facial surgery specialist exam in 2012 (FRCS-OMFS).

Treatments offered

Muzzammil runs a practice offering oral and maxillo-facial surgery, facial aesthetics and robotic head and neck surgery. Within his practice, he treats a range of concerns, including head and neck cancer, salivary gland tumours, skin cancer and craniomaxillofacial trauma.

Training and qualifications

Muzzammil trained in basic surgical specialities in the Midlands, and his specialist training took place in several locations: Sunderland, Carlisle, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Sheffield. He also undertook a post-CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) Fellowship in head and neck cancer in Coventry, visiting fellowships at both the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Texas, USA, and at the plastic surgery department of Singapore General Hospital.

Alongside his dental practice, Muzzammil works at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and is an honorary visiting professor of oral and maxillo-facial surgery for the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
