Jon’s philosophy is that teeth are for life and he has published a book on advanced techniques pioneered over the last 20 years to help patients maintain their smiles. He treats all patients with aesthetic, minimally-invasive techniques using modern materials and equipment to preserve teeth, just as he would want his own teeth to be treated.
Training and qualifications
After qualifying, Jon passed membership exams of the Faculty of General Dental Practice in 2005. In 2009, he was awarded the diploma in restorative dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, being awarded the Dentsply gold medal for the most outstanding student.
He then undertook research at the University of Leeds to gain a master’s in restorative dentistry with a particular interest in endodontics and was awarded fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012.
With decades of experience in dentistry, Jon has developed a unique six-step process when treating people to ensure they keep their teeth for life and achieve a smile they can be proud of. Jon focuses on full mouth reconstructions, especially in wear cases where the bite has collapsed. He has pioneered some of the latest digital techniques to rebuild broken, worn, damaged or missing teeth and is one of the most experienced clinicians in the UK in this field.
