Ekow Ackom-Mensah

GDC - 114975 BDS Lond 2007 Dentist

Ekow has worked in hospital, NHS and private dental settings for many years and has a particular interest in dental implant treatment; a fixed, natural-looking replacement for missing or failing teeth. In 2011, he obtained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Ekow provides oral surgery, dental implants and treatment for periodontal (gum) disease on a referral basis across three Bupa Dental Care practices. He also offers general dental care to self-referred patients. He enjoys providing restorative treatments such as composite (white) fillings, crowns, bridges and veneers. When teeth cannot be saved, he aims to make any necessary extractions as comfortable as possible and offers both removable or fixed options to replace missing teeth using either dentures or dental implants.

In 2007, Ekow graduated with honours from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Dentistry. During his studies, he was awarded the BDS Part Five Prize for academic achievement, as well as the Barts and the London Alumni Association (BATLAA) Elective Award in 2006. He then went onto complete vocational training in Kent before undertaking a hospital post in Manchester. In 2014, Ekow completed his master’s degree in Dental Implantology, with distinction, from the University of Manchester.

Ekow also has a keen interest in digital dentistry. He enjoys using modern scanning and imaging software along with 3D printing technology, to help plan, design and perform his patients’ treatment with a high level of accuracy. He provides treatment plans tailored to his patients’ needs and is aware that some can be nervous about treatment, so always aims to provide a relaxed, friendly environment.
