Members First is now available for corporate PMI and Trust customers

23 October 2026

Everyone deserves fast, simple mental health support when they need it.

That’s why we’re introducing Members First – our way of going even further for your people if they ever need a helping hand.

When they choose to have talking therapy through a Bupa service, we’ll waive any additional costs and it won’t use up their benefit allowance.

Members First is available now as an optional benefit with all new and renewing Corporate PMI and Trust schemes.

What is Members First?

It’s a brand-new option available with our mental health support.

When your people choose to have talking therapies through a Bupa service – either over the phone or video with our Talking Therapies team or in person at a Mindplace centre – they won’t pay any extra costs.

That means no excess, no co-payment or co-insurance and no impact on their outpatient allowance.

We pride ourselves on our mental health services – and we’ll never stop looking for ways to be better. After all, when your people are working harder than ever, their cover should too.

How does it work?

After you’ve opted in to Members First, any colleagues who want to use it will first need a GP referral. This could be from their existing practice or through a Blua digital appointment in the My Bupa app.

If they’d prefer, they can still choose to be treated by other therapists in our network, but they should be aware that any applicable excess and outpatient allowances will apply as normal.

Please also note that you must have mental health cover to be able to opt into Members First.

The impact on your people and business

Our feedback shows that extra costs can sometimes result in customers delaying or avoiding mental health treatment.

Members First means there’s fewer barriers to being their best. And for you, it could mean a more present, productive workforce with fewer absences.
