Bupa’s purpose is to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and to make a better world. We care for our customers over the long term, build trust and strong relationships with our communities and grow our business in a safe, ethical and sustainable way. Combating financial crime plays an important part in achieving these goals: building a culture of honesty and integrity, playing our part in reducing crime and identifying those involved in criminal activity and, by reducing fraud, better managing costs and protecting our customers.

Bupa has zero tolerance for all forms of financial crime including fraud and corruption. We take these matters extremely seriously and we have policies, training programmes and monitoring processes to manage the risks. Our people are required to maintain high standards of conduct and integrity. The Bupa Code sets out what we expect of them. We expect the same of our business partners; those who supply goods and services to Bupa, agents, brokers or other intermediaries acting on our behalf.

If you have a financial crime concern relating to Bupa, we encourage you to share it with us. We have a confidential “Speak Up” facility to enable any suspicions or concerns about possible fraud or other types of financial crime to be reported confidentially. All reports will be directed to a Speak Up Officer who will contact you via our Speak Up website to discuss your concerns. The Speak Up service is completely confidential and, although we encourage openness at Bupa, you can keep your name secret if you prefer.

Bupa is committed to combating the real and growing problem of modern slavery and human trafficking. Read our latest statement (PDF 1.8MB) under the UK's Modern Slavery Act for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.
