Specialist Centres for Prostate Cancer

Following the success of our Specialist Centres for breast and bowel cancer, we’re expanding this initiative to launch Specialist Centres for prostate cancer in November 2022.

These will be available to all our customers who have cancer cover. The pathway is for customers who have a GP referral for symptoms of prostate cancer but haven’t yet had any tests or a diagnosis.

Bupa customers will receive an appointment at a Specialist Centre within just two working days from calling. You can then get all initial diagnostic tests and the all-clear in one place, in one day. If cancer is suspected, more tests are taken on the same day and you’ll get the results in an additional two working days. If it is cancer, customers will receive treatment within 31 days of contacting Bupa, which is twice as fast as the national standard.

Plans to launch this service is great news, as we’ll now be able to support even more of our customers – helping us to achieve our vision to become the world’s most customer centric Healthcare company.

We have launched our first centre at Cromwell Hospital and will be expanding to other centres soon.
