London offer - Half price Consultations for private urgent care

We’re transforming healthcare to reduce delays, inefficiencies and deliver the very best care. That’s why we’re offering half price consultations* for urgent care at our Cromwell Hospital and at HCA Healthcare UK between 11 December and 31 May 2024. HCA Healthcare UK will offer this discount to our customers at their three adult private urgent care centres: The Lister Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The Princess Grace Hospital.

Urgent care centres provide rapid access to treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, including conditions such as broken bones, abdominal pain, minor head injuries, minor burns, and infections. The centres operate on a walk-in basis, with no appointment necessary and specially trained doctors available to support a quick diagnosis and provide treatment. If specialist treatment is needed, they will be able to refer you for the care that you need. 

The urgent care centres included in this offer are not suitable for children under 18 years of age, limb- or life-threatening conditions or pregnancy-related conditions. For any life-threatening conditions, you should always call 999 or go the nearest NHS emergency department.

Paying for urgent care

The Cromwell Hospital and HCA Healthcare UK operate independent self-pay urgent care services. You will be required to pay an initial fee for your consultation which will be discounted by 50% when you provide your Bupa health scheme number to the reception team (see below for terms and conditions). The cost of this consultation will not be covered by any Bupa insurance policies.

Any further tests or treatment you receive as part of the offer will be subject to additional fees that will not be discounted and are not covered by any Bupa insurance policies. Full information of these costs will be given before any tests or treatment go ahead. 

This offer does not impact your Bupa scheme benefits. If you receive an onward referral for follow-up care, you may be able to use your private medical cover subject to your policy benefit terms/exclusions.

1. 1. In these terms and conditions, references to “Bupa” are to Bupa Insurance Limited, which may act through its agent Bupa Insurance Services Limited.
2. 2. Eligible customers will receive a 50% discount on the cost of a consultation at a participating urgent care centre when they provide their Bupa scheme number on arrival at the hospital, subject to these terms and conditions. Full price consultations can range between £120 - £150. The Offer cannot be used against any other product or service.
3. 3. To be eligible, the customer must meet criteria in clause 4 and must have an urgent care consultation at a participating hospital between dates of 11th December 2023 and 31 May 2024 inclusive.
4. 4. The Offer is available to all Bupa PMI and trust customers who currently hold an active Bupa scheme number, subject to their clinical suitability for the service. The services are not suitable for children under 18 years of age. 5. 5. The customer must present their name, address, date of birth and Bupa scheme number to the hospital reception at the point of arrival.
6. 6. The Offer is available to eligible customers when visiting the Urgent Care Centre at the following participating hospitals: The Bupa Cromwell Hospital, The Lister Hospital, The Wellington Hospital, The Princess Grace Hospital. The Offer is not valid for other consultations or treatment that take place outside of the Urgent Care Centre at participating hospitals.
7. 7. Treatment in an Urgent Care Centre as part of the Offer is not covered as part of Bupa scheme benefits, so you will be required to pay for the cost of your treatment within the Urgent Care Centre and it will not impact your Bupa premium. The Offer entitles you to a 50% discount on the cost of your consultation within the Urgent Care Centre. Any additional treatment that you receive in the Urgent Care Centre will be charged at full price. If you require a referral for onward treatment outside of the Urgent Care Centre, you may be able to use your Bupa scheme, subject to your terms and exclusions.
8. 8. If you wish to use a participating urgent care facility outside of the Offer period, you will be charged the full cost of the consultation.
9. 9. Bupa reserves the right to remove or decline the Offer in its absolute discretion. Bupa’s decision regarding any aspect of this promotion is final.
10. 10. There is no option to upgrade or otherwise change the Offer.
11. 11. Bupa reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend, or withdraw the Offer at any point without prior notice.
12. 12. The Offer is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, has no cash value/alternative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or offers.
13. 13. Bupa will use any personal information in accordance with its privacy notice which can be found at www.bupa.co.uk/privacy
14. 14. Bupa will use any information received from the Urgent Care Centre provider (including personal data provided with your consent) as part of this Offer in the development of new products and services.
15. 15. Treatment provided under and pursuant to the Offer is provided independently by the participating hospitals and not on behalf of Bupa insurance. Treatment provided by the participating hospital will be subject to any separate terms and conditions that the participating hospitals may apply at the time of treatment. Bupa insurance cannot guarantee the availability or nature of any treatment provided by participating hospitals.
16. 16. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bupa and its group companies shall not be liable for any claims, damages, or any other losses whatsoever under or in connection with the operation of the Offer.
17. 17. These terms & conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
