World Cancer Day 2023 – Business toolkit

Recent research has revealed that over a third of UK cancer cases are detected in Emergency Departments, by which time it may be incurable¹. It’s a shocking statistic, and one that we want to change. The good news is that the more we all know about cancer, the better the chances of a happier outcome.

How does this affect your clients?

Sadly, half of us will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during our lifetime². So it’s likely that your client will have members of their team who have or will be directly affected by cancer. Therefore, it’s vitally important to continue to raise cancer awareness. Your clients should also try and encourage employees to understand and spot the symptoms, and seek potentially life-saving treatment straight away.
