For SME
We're updating our SME products
We’re committed to making sure our products are accessible and reflect the changing environment and demands of healthcare.
That’s why we’re making some updates to our SME Private Medical Insurance.
What’s changing?
We are removing the Family Cash Benefit (FCB) add-on and the Six-Week Scheme option for new and existing SME PMI clients from contract start dates 1 December 2025 onwards.
The Family Cash Benefit add-on has low uptake from groups and low usage from members, and we anticipate that usage will decrease further.
Due to ongoing NHS access challenges, the Six-Week Scheme is no longer viable, as many customers are unable to receive treatment within that timeframe. This change also supports our goal of simplifying the product offering.
What this means for you?
For contracts starting on 1 December these products will no longer be available to sell to clients.
The removal of these benefits will not add any additional pricing to a group’s renewal premium. Instead, these groups will go through the renewal process as normal.
For existing client groups on a two-year fixed price policy, these products will be withdrawn at the end of their second renewal year.
Your clients with these products on their policies will be notified that these features will be removed at renewal. There is no need for you to do anything.
