Bupa strengthens master trust offering
- The Bupa Evolve Master Trust delivers cost efficiency whilst maintaining quality and speed of care for your clients.
- Combines the efficiency of a trust arrangement with the confidence of insurance
- Gives employees fast access to healthcare through Bupa’s Connected Care pathways
Bupa has launched Bupa Evolve Master Trust, offering employees fast access to healthcare through Bupa’s Connected Care pathways. Designed for businesses with over 300 employees, the model helps manage rising healthcare costs while supporting workforce wellbeing and ensuring seamless access to care.
The Bupa Evolve Master Trust allows businesses to self‑fund healthcare through a master trust structure, supported by stop‑loss insurance protection. Under this model, businesses fund the first 80% of projected annual claims, with stop-loss providing financial protection where claims exceed the trust value. If claims fall below this amount, any remaining surplus can be carried forward and deliver ongoing value.
The trust also offers flexibility and long‑term value, with scheme design tailored to each workforce so your clients can shape a health plan that reflects their priorities and supports cost sustainability.
Unique to Bupa are its Connected Care pathways, designed to deliver faster treatment, better outcomes and a smooth experience from first contact to recovery. This includes GP and digital health services, as well as access to over 100 health clinics and three Bupa‑owned hospitals. Through a combination of Bupa’s own services and trusted clinical partners, employees are guided into managed pathways that support fast treatment starts, cost efficiencies and strong clinical outcomes.
Dan Sullivan, Product and Proposition Director for Bupa UK Insurance, said: “Organisations are under pressure to manage rising healthcare costs whilst also facing demand for health cover within employee benefits to attract and retain talent. To meet this need, and in response to the development of corporate excess products in the market, we have designed a new trust product built around our Connected Care pathways.
“The Bupa Evolve Master Trust offers businesses a smarter way to fund healthcare, improving cost efficiency while protecting the quality and speed of care their people receive.”
