For us, home is where the heart is. And we have the privilege of caring for over 6,000 people in our care homes. We treat every single resident as family. A caring and empathetic nature, always with a smile, is a must. So if this sounds like you, we'll help you flourish. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference, every day.
What’s life like working in care?
Working in care is a calling. While it can be physically and emotionally demanding, that’s what makes it so rewarding. You’ll make residents your top priority and go the extra mile to put a smile on their face. Not only will the residents become part of your life, you’ll become part of theirs. The relationships you make with residents are ones to remember for a lifetime.
So how I would treat my parents, that's how I would treat residents, to make sure that they’re happy in their environment.
If I know they’re ok I can leave them and think, wow, I've done my bit and they're ok they’re all fine and happy because I'm involved in it all the time it makes me feel like I am part of the family.

Our #NeverTooLate campaign encourages our people to go further for residents. For example transforming a care home into a live jazz venue. Or organising flying experiences for RAF veterans. Our teams have even helped a resident cross a half-marathon finish line. What will you do?
