Private GP appointments are available at many of our centres throughout the UK.
We aim to offer you an appointment within one working day for a routine appointment and will try to accommodate urgent requests on the same day at a time to suit you.
We are happy to offer advice at any time, but we don’t offer long term management of chronic conditions, or an out of hours or emergency service. There may be times when we can’t start treatments because we don’t have access to a full medical history. We recommend that you register with an NHS GP for these purposes.
GP appointments are:
£67.49 for 15 minutes
£123 for 30 minutes
£225 for 60 minutes
Great care is taken in selecting our doctors. As well as having the highest levels of clinical expertise, they are committed to providing the highest standards in general practice consultation. Both male and female doctors make up our team of experienced general practitioners with the empathetic qualities you'd expect.
When you call, we'll ask you how much time you think you need to spend with the doctor. Most centres offer 15-minute appointments which is usually sufficient for minor problems or 30 minutes if you feel you need a longer consultation.
If, despite booking a short appointment more time is required, we will endeavour to make this available to you. There will be an additional fee for extra time.
We are able to offer prescriptions, repeat prescriptions and private consultant referrals.
Our doctors will give you private prescriptions rather than NHS prescriptions, which means that you pay for the cost of the drugs and a chemist’s dispensing fee. For many commonly used drugs, the cost is unlikely to exceed the NHS prescription charge significantly. We will advise you if the cost is likely to be high and discuss your options.
We offer a repeat prescription service to our regular clients. If you have seen one of our private doctors before and were prescribed medication, you may be able to request a further supply without needing another appointment. Repeat prescriptions are issued at the doctor's discretion and your request must be received in writing in order to meet audit requirements. There is a small fee for repeat prescriptions, payable on receipt of the prescription.
We have extensive experience in accessing private health care and hold a large database of consultants who have provided care for our patients. If you need specialist attention, your private doctor will be able to discuss the option of onward referral to the right kind of consultant for your condition. Please remember to check that you are either insured for any referral or that you have alternative arrangements in place to meet the costs.
We do not normally have access to NHS clinics with the exception of accident and emergency, sexual health and family planning clinics.
We offer a range of nurse and doctor-delivered services at most of our centres.
