Trowbridge care home invites community to summer fete

Residents and staff at Trowbridge Oaks Bupa Care Home are inviting the local community to join them on Saturday 22nd July for their annual summer fete.

The event will take place in the gardens of the care home, where there will be delicious food and drinks available for guests to enjoy such as cream tea, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

Guests will also be treated to a performance by local singer, Marlow, who will be performing hits from the 60’s. Other entertainment will include an array of games such as guess the number of sweets in a jar, tombola, hook a duck, face painting and a raffle. Some special guests will be joining those who come along, including the Mayor Stephen Cooper, the local fire brigade and representatives from the local police station.

Linda Watts, Home Manager at Trowbridge Oaks Bupa Care Home, commented: “We are really looking forward to our summer fete, it is always a wonderful day and the whole home always has a really fun time. Events such as these really boost the wellbeing of our residents and this is something incredibly important to us at Trowbridge Oaks.”

Linda concluded: “We are hoping that as many people as possible can join us from the local community. We really enjoy getting involved with the community and we have a beautiful space so we are always keen to welcome people to come and see us. We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for some sunshine now!”

The Trowbridge Oaks Summer fete will take place on Saturday 22nd July from 14:00pm to 16:00pm at Trowbridge Oaks Bupa Care Home, West Ashton Road, Trowbridge, BA14 6DW, and is open to the public.
