World Cancer Day 2024

24 January 2024

Research has revealed that over a third of UK cancer cases are detected in Emergency Departments, by which time it may be incurable1. It’s a statistic that we want to change. The good news is that the more we all know about cancer, the better the chances of a better outcome.

How does this effect your business?

Sadly, half of us will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during our lifetime2. So, it’s likely that your clients will have members of their team who have, or will be, directly affected by cancer. As an employer it’s vitally important that your clients continue to raise cancer awareness. They should also try and encourage their employees to understand and spot the symptoms and seek potentially life-saving treatment straight away.

Our toolkit to support World Cancer Day can help increase recognition of cancer symptoms in your client’s workplace.
