Anna Russell, Director of ESG at Bupa Global & UK, leads Bupa’s environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) strategy, which includes: community investment engagement, net zero strategy (using science-based targets), reducing overall environmental footprint and advocating for better people and planet health. She also heads up the Bupa Foundation – a charity funded entirely by Bupa which runs and funds practical projects to support people's wellbeing.
At Bupa, we’re committed to making a better world, because the climate change emergency is a major threat to our own health, as well as the planet’s.
Food waste in Bupa care homes and at the Cromwell Hospital is recycled into biogas, 100% of our electricity comes from renewable sources and we’ve invested over £23m in eco-friendly technology. You can find out more about our sustainability initiatives on our Sustainability Hub.
Watch Anna’s interview, where she discusses why it’s important for companies to invest in their ESG strategy and how ESG is ever evolving.
