Beloved care home worker celebrates 25 years of service

The Springs Bupa Care Home has recently celebrated a beloved member of staff, Joanne (Jo) Williams, as she has reached 25 years of loyal service.

To honour the incredible achievement and to say a big thank you to Jo, the residents and staff of The Springs came together for a special afternoon tea where she was presented with flowers.

Jo first started her career with Bupa as a senior care assistant at a care home in the West Midlands before transferring to The Springs, where she has worked for the last 10 years. Jo enjoys getting to know the residents personally and supporting them with their wellbeing.

Reflecting on her career and time at The Springs, Jo commented: “I can’t believe I’ve worked at Bupa for 25 years. It’s been a wonderful experience and I’ve made so many special memories. I am beyond grateful to everyone – from the brilliant residents to our fantastic care home team.”

When asked what her fondest memories at The Springs have been, Jo continued: “I have enjoyed every aspect of being a part of the care team here. Being a carer is everything to me and I just love spending time with the residents.”

Outside of work, Jo enjoys walking, going to the cinema and eating out with her friends.

The Springs Bupa Care Home Manager, Lesley Work, commented: “Jo is a huge asset to The Springs community. Her kindness, work ethic and commitment to our residents epitomises what the Bupa family is all about and we couldn’t be prouder of her for reaching 25 years of service. We are thrilled that we’ve been able to spoil her and show her how much she means to us all.”

Over her long career with Bupa, Jo has continued to go above and beyond for residents and fellow members of staff, and she plans to continue to deliver the best care possible for her residents.
