Designed to support those living with dementia
The Springs has been carefully planned to help residents feel safe and secure knowing they can move around the home as independently as possible. We host regular meetings for family and friends and encourage daily activities and mobility.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
To help residents settle in quickly, we invite everyone to personalise their room by bringing familiar items from home – perhaps pictures and knick-knacks, or even small pieces of furniture.
Comfortable, tastefully decorated bedrooms
All of our bedrooms are well decorated and can be made that little bit more personal with the addition of a resident’s belongings.

A small, safe garden
Residents can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine in a secure space while admiring their surroundings.

Lounges and dining rooms where visitors are welcome
There is a wide choice of spaces where residents can meet their family and friends, join in with an activity or come for a meal.

There’s no typical day at The Springs, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Encouraging all kinds of creativity
We have many creative activities such as arts and crafts, baking and games, cheese tasting and coffee mornings.

Trips out for all to enjoy
We enjoy regular trips out to local coffee shops, garden centres and nearby countryside.

Music as a very special kind of therapy
Musicians and singers are always welcomed into the home, plus we sing songs around our own piano.

“People and their family members told us staff knew how to help them. One relative said staff had a really good understanding of dementia and how this can impact on people. They told us: "So impressive, staff's understandings of dementia and they are interested in the person, which is appreciated."
“My mind has been at rest since my mother arrived at The Springs 3-years ago. The staff are all so caring and kind even though she can be difficult! They gave her a wonderful 100th party last year, which we all enjoyed with her. I am made very welcome when I visit, and we feel part of the Springs ‘family’. I am kept well informed, and they are quickly on top of any health issues. We would like to thank one lady in particular and her staff. We would definitely recommend this home.”

“Our father has been in the unit for well over a year and has been shown great care and respect. Everyone works really hard to take care of his needs and make him as comfortable as possible; he looks forward to his meal times and the facilities are excellent from the dining room lounge and his own en suite room. Communication from the staff is just right, and they do all they can to provide the best for his wellbeing. My Brother and I are grateful to the staff for all their hard work. It’s hard to imagine him receiving better care anywhere else.”

“"This is an excellent care home each time I go to visit my dear friend who is on the priory floor. I find it a very happy place, the staff even under pressure are all happy and get on with everyone! It’s a pleasure to go in there on a visit. The food looks appetizing, the kitchen staff are amazing, and cook some wonderful recipes for the residents! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who would need a good care home for one of their relatives or friends. Definitely worth 5-star rating!"”
