Local carer celebrates 20 years of service
Skaria Kakkamadathil Joseph, a nurse at Ardenlea Grove Bupa Care Home in Solihull, has recently celebrated a commendable 20 years of service.
The milestone coincided with Skaria’s 50th birthday, so to celebrate this and his impressive commitment to helping others, the team at Ardenlea Grove Bupa Care Home threw him a surprise party where he was presented with a gift voucher, chocolates and a luxury engraved pen.
Skaria first joined Bupa in 2004, when the company supported his recruitment from India. He has worked at Ardenlea Grove Bupa Care Home ever since, undergoing extensive training and caring for countless residents over his impressive career.
When asked what his favourite thing about his job is, Skaria commented: “I have made lots of amazing memories here. The fantastic teamwork over the years has been wonderful and is what has made Ardenlea Grove and Bupa a happy place to work. The learning opportunities and expansion of knowledge has been incredible.”
Outside of work, Skaria enjoys swimming, playing cricket and tennis and going to the gym.
Lisa Hughes, Home Manager concludes: “We are incredibly grateful for Skaria’s 20 years of service and wanted to show him how much we value all his compassion and hard work. He truly is an inspiration to us all at Ardenlea Grove.”
