Huddersfield care home donates easter eggs to children’s hospice

01 April 2025

Lindley Grange Bupa Care Home has come together with the people of Huddersfield to create Easter bundles for children at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Carers, residents and relatives from the care home called out to the local community to pull together boxes of Easter eggs, chocolate, and crafts to put a smile on children’s faces this Easter. They were delighted to receive lots of donations from community groups and individuals across Yorkshire before the team at Lindley Grange, led by Activities Coordinator, Rebecca Hirst, hand delivered the bundles to the local hospice.

When asked why they chose to donate to the hospice, Rebecca said: “We collectively chose this charity because it is a very important part of our local community – they do vital work and inspire us every day. One of our staff members from Lindley Grange knew someone who was cared for there, so it’s close to all our hearts and we thought Easter bundles would be a lovely thing to do for the children.”

A spokesperson from Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice said: “Thank you so much for all the fabulous Easter donations. It’s just so wonderful that everyone at Lindley Grange is thinking of our families – we are all extremely grateful.”
