Treatments you can get
New patient examinations†
If you haven't been to a Bupa Dental Care practice before, this is your first full check-up. Your dentist will check that your teeth and gums are healthy. This includes any small x-rays you need.
Routine check-ups‡
These are your regular visits to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Your dentist will check for any problems early, so they’re easier to treat. If you need any x-rays, scans or additional treatment during your routine checkup, you can claim up to your benefit allowances for these. Scale and polish appointments
Visit a Bupa Dental Care practice for a scale and polish. We'll remove any plaque build up in tricky areas, and polish your teeth so your smile stays bright. We don't just cover your smile, we care for it too.
Using your insurance at a Bupa Dental Care practice
1. Choose a practice
Book an appointment for a new patient exam, check up or clean with a Bupa Dental Care practice online or by phone. Give us your membership number when you’re at the practice.
2. Attend your appointment
Let the team know you have Bupa dental insurance. When you’ve had your treatment, go back to reception and they'll sort your claim.
3. Nothing extra to pay
Don’t worry about the cost we'll fully cover eligible preventative treatment or extras. If you get any dental treatments that aren’t covered by your policy, you'll have to pay for them.

†*Small x-rays (bitewing and periapical) taken during new patient examinations are included as part of your fully covered visit.

Terms and conditions
- References to "Bupa" are to Bupa Insurance Limited, which may act through its agent Bupa Insurance Services Limited. References to “Bupa Dental Care practices” are to Bupa Dental Care, trading name of Oasis Dental Care Limited.
- Members that have an active V24 Bupa Dental Plan policy (the “Dental Plan”) at the time they receive an eligible treatment (“Eligible Members”) can claim for the full cost of new patient examinations and/or routine examinations and/or scale and polish treatments at an applicable Bupa Dental Care practice which provides general dental services in the United Kingdom (the “Offer”).
- Eligible Members can claim this Offer even if they have already claimed under their Dental Plan for any of the eligible treatments.
- The Offer commences on 15th September 2025 until 29th November 2026, or their next annual renewal date after 30th November 2025, whichever is sooner.
- Bupa’s policy terms and conditions for Dental Plan shall apply in full.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bupa Insurance Limited, Bupa Insurance Services Limited, and the Bupa group of companies shall not be liable for any claims, damages, or any other losses whatsoever arising under or otherwise in connection with this Offer.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
