Training and qualifications
After graduating from King's College London in 1987, Anthony joined the Royal Navy as a dentist and enjoyed a varied six years, which included vocational training, deployment to the Gulf and time in the executive branch, including some time in submarines. He has always enjoyed regular continuing professional development and has completed courses including dental practice management.
Treatments offered
After a brief period as an associate dentist in general practice, Anthony bought his own small private practice, which he ran for 20 years. He now focuses mainly on providing dental implants (including full arch treatments) at our practice, as well as oral surgery and complex extractions. In 2010, Anthony began to focus on academic development and completed a DPDS, and later a qualification in implant dentistry, with an increasing focus on surgical and restorative dentistry. He is experienced in the use of Straumann, Biohorizons and Bicon implant systems. He has developed knowledge of CBCT diagnosis and utilisation for treatment in recent years. Alongside being a dentist at our practice, Anthony is also regional clinical director for Bupa Dental Care in the South and South West, providing clinical support to practices across Bupa Dental Care. He is also responsible for radiation safety.
