Alana Kilkenny graduated from UCLan/Liverpool University with a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery in 2013 and has a postgraduate certificate in restorative dentistry, completed in 2023. Prior to becoming a dentist, Alana achieved an honours degree in human biology and anatomy from Manchester University, and spent a year working as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. Following orthodontic treatment, Alana decided to retrain as a dentist, after experiencing first-hand the impact a beautiful smile can make.

Alana has been working as an associate in general practice since 2013 and joined Bupa Dental Care in 2019. She has a strong focus on prevention and endeavors to use techniques that preserve as much of the natural tooth as possible. In addition to her PGCert, Alana has been on numerous courses to further her expertise and provide the best care for her patients. She particularly enjoys providing composite restorations and clear aligner orthodontics (Invisalign aligners) and has training in smile design.
