Training and qualifications

Avan qualified from Queen Mary’s University of London with a distinction, before completing further postgraduate training in advanced facial aesthetics. She later trained as a specialist orthodontist at the Royal London and Northwick Park Hospital, and holds a research doctorate degree in orthodontics and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Treatments offered

Avan offers a full range of orthodontic treatment options for both adults and children, including traditional metal braces, ceramic (clear), and removable braces. She is fully certified to provide various treatment options including Invisalign aligners, Invisalign Teen, Invisalign First for 7–10-year-olds, the Incognito/Win lingual system (hidden braces) and Damon braces. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve a healthy and attractive smile.

Avan also has an interest in interceptive treatment and growth modification for children, such as functional appliances, and management of complex multidisciplinary cases, and works closely with dentists and specialists in the management of these cases. Having completed a research degree in Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Avan is also trained in preventative mild to moderate OSA treatment, anti-snoring, bruxism (teeth clenching) and TMD (jaw pain) custom made devices.
