After qualifying in 1997, Erika gained a fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. They went on to achieve a master's in orthodontics from the Eastman Dental Hospital of University College of London, and membership in orthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
