Training and qualifications

Akeel gained his bachelor’s degree in dentistry from the University of Jordan in 2002. He has since worked in different hospitals in the UK in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2004 Akeel obtained membership of the faculty of dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFDRCSI), followed by a fellowship in oral surgery and medicine FFDRCSI (OSOM) from the same college in 2007.

In 2014, he obtained the board certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the medical council of Jordan. Akeel is a specialist in oral surgery and has a special interest in dental implants. He gained his diploma in implant dentistry (Dip Imp Dent) from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2016. Akeel also has an interest in academic work. He is the author of three surgical books and has many publications in reputable surgical journals. Akeel has experience in training trainee dentists in hospital environments and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Treatments offered

Akeel accepts referrals for all types of oral surgery work, including complex extractions, biopsies, oral medicine, jaw joint and facial pain, dental implants, bone grafting and sinus lift augmentation.
